Mike Quesenberry - VACA Board Member Mike Quesenberry started his animal control career in North Carolina back in 1976 and was promoted to supervisor of the Roanoke Animal Control & Protection Unit back in 1994. He graduated from Virginia Western Community College with a career studies diploma in Business/Industrial Management in 1992.
Quesenberry was an instructor for the Basic Animal Control Academy from 1992-2000 and has instructed at the Roanoke Police Academy since 1994. He was national certified as an animal control officer in 2000. As a VACA board member for over a decade, he has focused much of his efforts towards the improvement of animal control training. He looks forward to working with the board and fellow officers to increase the mandated training to strive to increase the professionalism of the animal control field for years to come.
